AM’s popular Digital Dealer Conference is back, with the speaker line-up that includes multi-AM Award winner Perrys Motor Sales.
Today, AM announces the launch of its Digital Dealer Conference which takes place on September 15 at Silverstone, acknowledging that online is now effectively acting as a dealer’s forecourt, showroom and aftersales shop window, a customer’s journey to car ownership and subsequent retention is increasingly digital and is possibly the single most important element of car retailing today.
It will focus on content, analytics and data and the customer experience both online and in-store.
Winners of the AM Awards 2015 for Best Use of TV/Video, Best Social Media Campaign and Digital Initiative of the Year, Perrys Motor Sales is at number 18 in the AM100 and has 25 locations yet its digital influence via its website and intense social media activity goes way beyond that of its much larger peers.
The group’s digital marketing manager Lee Manning will talk about their journey, the challenges and their future direction.
This year’s conference takes the key components of:
a consumer’s interaction with business – the online content which drives them to make contact;
the analytics and data which provides intelligent insight to ensure information influences positive customer outcomes;
And the experience itself, firstly in the digital world and then once they make contact or visit the dealership.
Once again, AM has cast its net wider than automotive and automotive suppliers in order to find experts in their field.
Digital analytics manager Daniel Smulevich, from digital agency Jellyfish, will draw on his extensive data expertise to make sense of the information gathered on websites as well as his experience with Volkswagen Group to provide relevant and informative case studies and good practice.
Also from the world of digital, author Justin Kirby and vice-president strategic content marketing at Tenthwave Digital will explore branded content including different perspectives on its definition, how it is being put into practice and how it will develop.
The presentation will illustrate how businesses need to adopt a newsroom and editorial mentality in order to facilitate the creation of content and will include inspirational and entertaining case studies from household names, but which are easily adapted for a range of businesses.
AM managing editor Tim Rose said: “The digital and physical worlds are now inextricably linked and the seamless integration of the two now defines the most successful retailers making digital the focal point of every business.
"Ensuring the best strategy is in place and keeping up-to-date with latest and innovative thinking in the digital sphere is crucial to on-going success.
“Dealers don’t need us to tell them digital is critical, but we are confident delegates will benefit from the insight, new thinking, trends, analysis, predictions and latest innovations which our speakers will highlight to help them keep their business on track and ahead of the game. We are in the process of lining up an exciting range of speakers to ensure we deliver our best digital conference yet.”
Tickets are only available to dealers and vehicle manufacturers.
