The all-new Peugeot 3008 SUV will be available to order in December, with first vehicles arriving in dealership showrooms January 28.

The UK range starts with a ‘level 2’ specification vehicle with every model featuring the i-Cockpit compact steering wheel, the latest configurable 12.3-inch head-up digital instrument panel and an eight inch touch-screen.

The range starts from £21,795 with the ‘Active’ model with standard features that includes safety equipment ordinarily only available on top-of-the-range models says Peugeot.

These include automatic emergency braking, adaptive driver and front passenger airbags (includes passenger airbag deactivation), driver and front passenger side, front and rear curtain airbags, CDS - dynamic stability control and ASR - electronic anti-skid system, driver attention alert system, three Isofix child seat fittings in the front passenger and outer rear seats, programmable cruise control and speed limiter, and speed limit recognition and recommendation.

Safety features, reduced repair costs and a five-star EuroNCAP safety rating, means the 3008 SUV has insurance ratings from just 11E, compared to 20A on the previous model.

Trim levels and engines

There is a choice of four trim levels – ‘Active’, ‘Allure’ (expected to be the best-selling version), ‘GT Line’ and the top-of-the-range ‘GT’ .

CO2 emissions are from 103g/km.

Petrol engine versions are 130hp and 165hp, with CO2 emissions of 117 to 129g/km, with the 1.2-litre PureTech 3-cylinder turbo engine.

The PureTech 130 is available in six-speed manual or automatic transmission while the 165PS is mated to the six-speed automatic.

Four diesel engines are available, model dependent, with BlueHDi technology that makes it possible to keep the CO2 emissions between 103 and 124g/km, with power ranging between 100, 120,150 and 180PS.
