Hyundai has unveiled the all-new Kona, its first small SUV.

THe car will compete with the Renault Captur, Citroen C3 aircross and Nissan Juke, when it goes on sale later this year.

It offers a sleek, sharp design with full-LED twin headlamps, two-tone roof and the choice between ten distinctive exterior colours.

The Kona is available with optional four-wheel drive and a choice between turbocharged petrol engines and a next generation diesel.

At launch a 1.0-litre T-GDI with 120PS and a high-power 1.6-litre T-GDI with 177PS will be available. A 1.6-litre diesel will be launched in 2018.

For the first time in a Hyundai, the Kona features a head-up display and a system called Display Audio which gives passengers the option of switching their smartphone’s content on to the system’s seven-inch display via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Kona offers plenty of space for both passengers and luggage. The boot can 361 litres and foldable rear seats expand the space to1,143 litres.
