Toyota GB plc has appointed former Skoda head of marketing, Andrew Cullis, as its new marketing director.

Cullis, who has previously held the posts of marketing director at Hyundai UK and roles in brand and product marketing and public relations with Vauxhall and Citroën, will assume responsibility for product and pricing, sales planning, consumer programs, media planning and buying, advertising, digital, retailer support, events and sponsorship.

Paul Van der Burgh, Toyota GB president and managing Director, said: “Andrew joins Toyota at an exciting time as we reinforce our leadership in hybrid and other alternative power technologies, with new models such as the Mirai hydrogen fuel cell saloon and future products such as new Prius and RAV4 Hybrid.

“He has all the right marketing credentials to help develop the brand and deliver on our promise to bring ever better cars to the market.”

Cullis took up his new position on January 4th, succeeding Chris Hayes who transferred to Toyota Motor Europe in the summer to become head of pricing.
