Auto Trader sales director Sharon Randall will be replaced by Le Etta Pearce and Darren Moon as she prepares to take a part-time role with the online marketplace.

Randall will support Auto Trader’s senior leadership team in her new role from April, with Pearce and Moon set to join the company’s operational leadership team to assume responsibility for the overall satisfaction, growth and value delivery for vehicle retailers in the UK.

Randall has been with Auto Trader for over 17 years – having joined as general manager for the North London print division in 1999 – and has held a number of senior leadership positions, becoming the group’s UK sales director in 2013.

She said: “It’s been a wonderful 17 years at Auto Trader and it has been a privilege to work in the UK Automotive Industry during a time of such significant change.

“Supporting and guiding our customers on the digital journey has been very exciting and I know the team will continue to do this.

“I’ll still be involved with the business, but I am also looking forward to spending more time with my family.”

Randall added: “I am delighted to hand over the leadership baton to Le Etta and Darren, as we remained committed to building world class relationships with all our customers by helping them evolve through the ever changing digital automotive landscape.”

Pearce joined Auto Trader in 2014 having worked for automotive companies for 17 years.

Moon has been working in multiple sales and commercial leadership roles in Auto Trader for nine years in addition to his previous experience in publishing businesses.

Auto Trader chief executive Trevor Mather said: “Given the roles Sharon has played, she has been right in the middle of all that and very much enabled Auto Trader overall and especially our sales force to become what we are today.

“She has created an excellent foundation that I’m confident Le Etta and Darren can build on even further.”
