Close Brothers Motor Finance has appointed a new operations manager and account manager to its Scotland branch.
Stephen Walsh has joined the business as an operations manager and will be responsible for the operations team in Scotland, including the manual underwriters and client support staff.
He brings with him a wealth of banking experience having worked for Lloyds TSB for 15 years, building his career from telephone support up to Bank Manager. He is currently meeting dealers across Scotland to ensure that Close Brothers Motor Finance can provide a seamless service for them.
Wendy Taylor has joined the business as an account manager, supporting and developing strong relationships with dealers in Galloway, the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh.
She has over 10 years experience in the sales and the motor industry, having worked for Jaguar Land Rover and more recently the David Hayton Group.
Glenn Matthews, head of operations for the north at Close Brothers Motor Finance, said: “We are thrilled to have Wendy and Stephen in the team, their experience in the motor industry will be an invaluable asset.”
As editor, Tim is responsible for the media content, planning and production of AM's multiple channels (AM print and digital magazines, website, social media and contributing to our events planning). He interviews and writes about as many franchised dealer groups and UK divisions of motor manufacturers as possible, to explore the issues facing UK motor retail and understand what solutions dealers and suppliers are using to overcome these.
