Former gym instructor Chris Butt is fighting fit in the motor trade after securing a promotion to deputy business manager at Jennings Seat.

The 26-year-old, a Sport Management graduate from Teesside University, was recruited as a sales executive at the Cargo Fleet Lane branch four years ago after working as a fitness instructor for a local gym.

Butt said: “I’ve always been keen to work in car sales and learn about the motor industry, so when the opportunity arose at the Middlesbrough dealership, I jumped at the chance.”

Now Butt is delighted to be taking a step up the career ladder.

He said: “This is a great opportunity for me to learn a completely new side of the business.”

The recent promotion will see Chris assisting sales controller/business manager, Mike Scurr, with all aspects of finance for customers, as well as carrying out his existing role as a new and used car sales executive.

Franchise manager, Craig Johnson, said: “Chris is a conscientious and dedicated member of the sales team.”
