Property specialist Knight Frank has recruited Alastair Coates as a partner and Richard Syers as part of efforts to strengthen its position as a leader in the automotive market.

The estate agent and property consultant recruited Coates following his 14 years at CBRE, where a number of roles saw him advise on global mandates for the likes of Shell and Esso and establish and lead the firm’s regional hub.

Coates brings with him his colleague Richard Syers, who joins as an associate, and whose responsibilities included Tesla’s UK expansion programme.

Adam Chapman, national head of automotive at Knight Frank, said: “The appointments of Alastair and Richard exemplify the quality of Knight Frank’s automotive team.

“They are undoubtedly two of the most highly-regarded and leading advisers in the automotive markets, and their addition complements the already unrivalled mix of skills and experience we are able to offer our clients.”
