Subaru UK has appointed William Brown as its operations director as the brand looks for new leadership in sales strategy.

Brown is currently operations director for Isuzu UK and will add his responsibilities with the Subaru brand to those of his existing role.

He said: “I’m delighted to be appointed operations director at Subaru and look forward to bringing my experience with Isuzu to the role and grow the franchise.”

Paul Tunnicliffe, Subaru UK managing director, said: “William brings an exemplary track record to this role from his time in re-building the Isuzu brand.

“Subaru still has much more to give to us and its dealers, and William is absolutely the man to deliver it.”

Subaru UK currently has a total of 70 retail locations.

In 2016 the brand recorded a total of 3,612 registrations, a figure which continued a five-year sales rise from a low of 2,023 back in 2012.

In Q1 of 2017, Subaru recorded 932 registrations in the UK, down 5.4% on the 985 achieved by the end of March last year.
