Stoneacre Motor Group has appointed Shaun Brookhouse and Paul Vozbutas as main board directors.

The pair have a combined 30 years’ automotive experience working within Stoneacre, most recently as operations directors.

Vozbutas joined as a sales executive in 2003, before moving steadily through the ranks from sales manager, regional manager to operations director in 2017.

Brookhouse started his career at Stoneacre as a general manager in 2005 before taking the same path; becoming a regional manager then operations director.

Shaun Foweather, managing director, said: “Each of them brings deep automotive knowledge, a passion for people with the desire to envision an ambitious future for Stoneacre Motor Groups growing needs.”

Stoneacre have even more ambitious plans for the future. Further acquisitions are being considered by the Board of Directors in 2019 and the group have set a turnover target of £1 billion in the 2020 financial year.

The AM100 dealer group increased turnover from £721 million to £786m in 2018, and made £10.6m pre-tax profit in the year to April 2018.

It acquired new sites in 2018, including Mill Garages Volvo dealerships at Newcastle, Sunderland, Stockton and Harrogate – and has the ambition to become the largest Volvo dealer in the UK.

It also took over the multi-franchised businesses Chris Variava in Nottingham and Platts Garage in Stafford.
