New digital service record app - Servicefy - available to dealers

Servicefy has launched a digital service platform designed to solve the issue consumers face with fake, missing or incomplete vehicle service records.

Utilising ‘blockchain’ technology, Servicefy stores a tamper proof digital version of a vehicle’s service records.

Servicefy is available to UK car dealers.

Emmanuel Abiodun, Servicefy chief technology officer, said: "Car buyers are evolving and dealers need to respond to this change quickly.

“There are three stages of a consumer journey. Stage one is ‘I want to know’, stage two ‘I want to go’, stage three ‘I want to buy’.

“During the first stage of the buying process, the research stage, car buyers want all the relevant information that would assist them to conclude the first stage and move on to the second stage.

“If a dealership is not able to provide a potential customer all the crucial information they need to make an informed decision, they stand to lose out to other dealers who are getting the first stage right.

“That is the problem that our platform solves- it provides the tools for dealers of all sizes to provide information that helps consumers to make an informed choice to visit their dealership."

Dealers are provided an analytics dashboard enabling them to see user engagement.

Once a salesman sells a car, the digital service records can be transferred instantly to the new owner.

Consumers can download the Servicefy app for iOS or Android to continue managing their service records digitally.

The app boasts features that help motorists to maximise the resale value of their vehicles.

Dealerships that carry out servicing on their vehicles before retailing them are now able to publish unalterable verified service records using Servicefy’s blockchain technology.
