CD Auction Group has rebranded Hudson Kapel Auctions as CD Salvage Auction, as it takes operational control of the business.

CD Salvage Auction will continue to remarket vehicles on behalf of the UK's major rental and leasing companies. Typically, vehicles sold tend to be total loss salvage, accident damage-repairable, mechanical failure beyond economical repair and MOT failures.

The move is part of CD Auction Groups’ continued integration into the Arctos Holding operation, which acquired the business last September.

Arctos Holding also owns SMH Fleet Solutions, which offers vehicle support services tomanufacturers, dealer groups, leasing and rental companies and vehicle fleet providers of all sizes.

Andy Brown, managing director of CD Auction Group, said: “Merging Hudson Kapel Auctions into the CD Auction operation presents some fantastic opportunities for us to offer wider remarketing solutions to our joint customer bases.

“There are considerable synergies as well as opportunities to build on best practice from both operations that can benefit customers of both businesses.”

CD Salvage Auction auctions will continue to use a sealed bid format where registered buyers can view vehicles and submit closed bids online by 1pm every Wednesday.
