Shpock+ Motors and the Independent Motor Dealers Association (IMDA) have joined forces to feed stock onto the site for free.

IMDA members will get access to  Shpock+ Motors’ suite of dealer-specific features for free.

Umesh Samani, IMDA chairman, said: ”In a time when advertising costs are one of the biggest expenses, car dealers are looking for new ways and new audiences to market their cars to.

“With the newly formed partnership with Shpock+ Motors and the IMDA, dealers can put their stock in front of a new audience which has over 3.5 million. This is great news for dealers as it will sell more cars at less cost. ”

Steve Grice, Shpock UK managing director, said independent dealers are at the heart of its proposition for its motors business in the UK.

He said: “We gladly give them the opportunity to have their stock available to the 750,000 UK users who search for a car every month.

“The special offer includes listing up to 1,000 cars per month for free and an option to publish their stock by integrating with key feed providers like Auto Trader.”

Shpock is an online marketplace like rivals Gumtree and eBay, but focuses on connecting those that are looking to sell with a local customer.  Shpock+ Motors launched in 2017 to specifically connect independent dealers with customers in their local market through the Shpock app and website.
