The 1,300 strong RAC Dealer Network will be “first to benefit” from the rollout of a new multi-million-pound investment in IT infrastructure by The Warranty Group.

The Warranty Group said that the introduction of the Global Warranty Platform (GLoW), due to be implemented early next year, will make products and services provided to UK dealers and their customers “faster, easier and more effective”.

RAC Dealer Network’s sales director Sean Kent said: “Worldwide, our investment in GLoW runs into tens of millions of pounds and will provide us with technology that will place The Warranty Group at the cutting edge of the motor warranty sector.

“GLoW will make faster, easier and more effective all aspects of warranty, service plan and all insurance add-ons, whether you are a dealer or manufacturer selling and administering warranties or a customer buying a warranty.

“This is especially important in the UK motor warranty sector, which is highly developed and very competitive, and where it will help the RAC Dealer Network to introduce a new generation of products and services.”

The technology behind GLoW is based on the Salesforce platform.

Kent said: “What we will have is a highly scaleable, secure and effective platform that will take us through the next decade or more. We are on schedule to start roll-out of GLoW to RAC dealers starting in Q1 of next year.”
