Review

Hyundai's all-new Coupe, which was styled in house by the Namyang design team in Seoul, will go on sale in the UK in early 2002.

Longer, wider and taller than the previous model, the new Coupe will be available with three engine choices; 1.6, 2.0 and for the first time a 2.7 V6 producing 171 bhp. The engine has previously been seen in the Trajet and Santa Fe.

The 2.0 will be offered with the Porsche designed semi-automatic H-tronic gearbox for the first time, while the 2.7 V6 will be available with either H-tronic or six-speed manual gearbox.

All models will feature the following as standard: power steering, driver, passenger and side airbags, anti-lock brakes, electric windows/door mirrors, seat-belt pretensioners, front fog, lamps, six speaker radio/CD player, air conditioning, leather gear knob and steering wheel, alloy wheels, engine immobiliser. The 2.0 and 2.7 V6 add the following to the above list: keyless entry and alarm, cruise control, leather seats and sunroof. The 2.7 V6 will exclusively be available with a six speed manual gearbox.
