Review

Peugeot’s top-range 407 SW has satellite navigation, rear parking sensor and leather seats as standard.

The six-speed automatic I drove went up gears fluidly and had more than enough power to ease out of slip lanes onto fast moving traffic.

As with another Peugeot I drove recently, it lacks steering wheel
controls which seems odd in an otherwise well-
specced car.

The glass roof is a nice touch which may give the added bonus of enthralling children in the back.

It’s a good-looking estate and can rival its competitors which include VW Passat and Renault Laguna.
