The power unit is the 1.9-litre, four cylinder 130bhp TDI unit, allied to a six-speed manual gearbox, giving the A3 (pictured) a 0-62mph time of 9.1 seconds and a maximum speed of 126mph.

In the extra urban cycle it can cover up to 57.7 miles per gallon.

Specification mirrors that of the A3 1.8T quattro Sport and includes 16-inch competition wheels, front sport seats, sports suspension and steering wheel and electronic climate control.

  • The Audi S3 quattro has been given a power boost. Its improved 1.8-litre engine now delivers 225bhp, up from 210bhp, and the car can accelerate from 0-62mph in 6.6 seconds and has a maximum speed of 151mph.
