Honda has revived its Jazz model brand name for a 5dr which debuts in Europe at the Frankfurt motor show in September.

Jazz was previously used on a small car between 1984-86. The new supermini, built in Japan, went on sale last month in its domestic market where it is called the Fit.

British sales will start in early 2002 and Honda is expecting an annual volume of around 15,000. Jazz, described as a five-seater, will use new 1.2- and 1.4-litre engines, with two spark plugs per cylinder.
