BMW's new car is set to arrive in the UK next summer.

The new car shares the 343bhp normally aspirated engine of the M3 Coupe and has a top speed of 155mph and a 0-62mph of 5.5 seconds. Combined fuel consumption is 23.3mpg.

The main selling feature of the convertible will be its fully electrically operated roof, with further driver appeal provided by the electrically operated sports seats.

Safety features include six airbags, full roll-over protection, Dynamic Stability Control, Cornering Brake Control and ABS as standard.

The price will be confirmed early 2001.
