Vauxhall's latest performance car, the 145mph Vectra 2.6 GSi, is now available at an on-the-road price of £18,595 for hatchback and saloon. The estate version is £900 more.

This GSi (pictured) comes with more torque and more equipment, such as xenon headlamps, cruise control and larger front brake discs, than the previous model, but keeps the 16E insurance grouping.

The Vectra flagship model shifts from 0-60mph in 7.9 seconds and is priced £500 below its nearest rival the Mondeo Zetec S.
