Automotive Technician / Mechanic

Crisps Paramount Garage Ltd currently have a vacancy for an experienced automotive mechanic/technician.

We are a small but busy, successful, independent dealer and family owned since 1977. We have busy workshops looking after both our sales vehicles and customers cars alike. With most of our customers being long-term repeat customers we take pride in what we do and like to offer a high level of service to keep customers coming back. We have a real family feel and care about our employees. Unlike big main dealer set-up's you will be treated like a real person, not a number, and we always try to accommodate the demands and needs of our employees.  

Skills we require:

• Trained to a level 3 standard
• Confident working on a variety of different of makes and models with minimum supervision.
• Strong mechanical skills 
• Knowledge of modern vehicle electronics
• You're comfortable using current diagnostic equipment to diagnose and rectify faults. 
• A qualified MOT tester is preferred though not necessarily essential if appropriate qualifications are held to enable fast tracking to becoming a tester.

The Ideal Candidate will need to have:

• Good communication skills
• The willingness to work as part of an effective team is a must to ensure the smooth, efficient flow of work through the workshop, thereby ensuring that we continue to meet and exceed our customers expectations.

Our standard hours are 8.15am - 5.15pm Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday mornings as overtime. Though flexible hours could potentially be available to right candidate. 

The salary offered for this role is between £29,000 - £34,000 per annum. Salary negotiable depending on hours, experience and MOT tester status.
