Vacancy: HGV Technician Vacancy - Hinckley

Salary: £31,000 to £33,600 Depending on if IRTEC Licenced

Hours 40 week, Monday - Friday. Week 1 6.00am-2.30. Week 2 1-9.30pm plus overtime when needed

HGV workshop Technician required for our clients thriving business in Hinckley. Their in house HGV Technicians work on their own fleet of HGV Vehicles, and other associated equipment.

They are looking for an experienced HGV Technician with that can do the full remit of duties in their workshop.


Requirements of the role

*To inspect and carry out diagnosis of faults using in house HGV diagnostic systems
*Visual diagnosis of wearable items, ensuring the fleet is legal and compliant with
present VOSA regulations
*Service and Repairs on both HGV Tractor units and associated trailers, drop sides,
beavertails etc
*Test drive vehicles to ensure repairs are successful and the vehicle is suitable for
use on a public road

Candidate Requirement
* Experience of working on HGV Vehicles
*You will ideally be qualified to NVQ level 3 or the City and Guilds equivalent,
although time served HGV Technicians with relevant experience are encouraged to
apply, we will look at Level 2 NVQ for strong candidates with a good few years experience
*Class 1 or 2 Beneficial
* Experience on Waste / recycling Vehicles will de a distinct advantage
* IRTEC Licence Beneficial
