Workshop Controller - Paint & Body New Forest

The Role

We are seeking a Workshop Controller to join Marshall Motor Group’s Paint & Body Repair Centre in New Forest and assist in providing a high quality and efficient service for our customers. The main purpose of your role will be to effectively allocate resources to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Actively retain all available business by consulting and co-operating with reception staff and Managers
  • Achieve all sales and profit objectives for the department under Line Manger’s instruction and guidance
  • Ensure stock levels are effectively controlled
  • Work with colleagues to identify potential customers and additional business
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all department administrations and operational processes complying at all times with dealership and manufacturer reporting policies
  • Achieve all Group, Manufacturer and Statutory Legislation objectives and operate within the law at all times
  • Contribute to a department marketing strategy to promote all products and services
  • Plan ahead and manage time efficiently to ensure all tasks are achieved
  • Greet customers and visitors promptly, courteously and professionally
  • Assist line manager to brief the team regarding business objectives and give regular feedback on achievements
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all customers, dealership colleagues, suppliers and external representatives

Required Skills and Experience

In addition to your prior experience, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Excellent problem solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • A strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
