The motor industry's first paperback guide to new car pricing, 'The Car Price Check New Car Transaction Price Guide', has been launched by Autohit.

Providing 1,700 pages of data on over 3,700 models, the monthly gives comparative pricing analysis from UK dealer, importer, internet and manufacturer sourced new cars.

The New Car Transaction Price Guide comes nine months after Autohit launched the UK's only online price navigator, www.CarPriceCheck.com.

The guide presents market data for every model derivative available to the UK car buyer including the cheapest source for consumer, money benefit to consumer, money benefit as a percentage of list price and the pricing trend of the quoted suppliers.

Autohit CEO, Steve Evans said: "Everyone is fully aware that list prices are no longer applicable in the real market except as a benchmark for discounts. With the success of CarPriceCheck.com for both the consumer and dealer in electronic form, it seemed sensible to replicate the core data and trends as an information resource and market-making companion for the industry."

Mr Evans also points to the forthcoming Block Exemption review. "Whilst no one is quite sure exactly which way the Commission will go, the trend of multi channel suppliers and frictionless new car pricing, is set to continue. In such a landscape, market intelligence like the guide is going to be increasingly important."

The new car transaction guide is available for an annual subscription of £265 per annum. Copies can be ordered on 0121 698 8739 or alternatively at www.carpricecheck.com/guide.
