Sytner Group intends to rebrand its newly acquired Savernake Mercedes-Benz dealership in Newbury as Cruickshank Mercedes-Benz.

The company, which acquired the territory after DaimlerChrysler paid compensation to William Jacks Group for dropping the franchise, is confident of strong sales in the area, which is home to several large organisations.

Laurence Vaughan, Sytner chief executive, said: “The demand for prestige cars in the area is high. This will be a significant business for the group and will substantially increase the scale of our relationship with DaimlerChrysler.”

Cruickshank is Sytner's fourth Mercedes-Benz dealership, joining two outlets in Bristol and one in Weston-Super-Mare. It will form part of a massive Mercedes-Benz territory, stretching from Bristol to Newbury.
