Continuing the new product range expansion which will see a Saab-badged Subaru launched in the US under the 9-2X badge next summer, Saab is to launch a 4x4 9-7X medium-size SUV at the April 2004 New York Auto Show.

Initially at least the SUV will be marketed only in the US and Canada in projected volumes of 10,000-15,000. It will be assembled not in Sweden but at a GM plant in Ohio from early 2005.
