Saab's UK sales operation, Saab Great Britain, may be combined with Vauxhall's as part of parent GM's Europe-wide 'Viggen' plan to revive the sales fortunes of the unprofitable Swedish carmaker.

The mergers of all Saab's seven wholly-owned sales companies throughout Europe could mean 100 job losses could result across Europe, according to some automotive media sources.

Other recent reports on the Saab restructuring have included the suggestion of integration of engineering functions with Opel's – and possible US manufacture of Saab models.
