Saab's network of 84 authorised repairers are now offering fixed price repairs to help businesses compete with independent garages.

Corin Richards, managing director Saab Parts UK, said: "We understand the UK car parts market is very competitive and gives owners a wide choice of alternatives.

"However, there is nothing quite like an original component, which has been engineered to strict durability standards, and designed to fit and operate at one with the vehicle. As a result, all Saab parts come with a two year warranty to further reassure customers that they could not have bought better."

Front windscreen wipers can be fitted for £29, brake fluid can be drained and replaced for £45, front brake pads can be replaced for £119 and a new battery can be fitted for £99.

Richards said the business will be looking to recruit more dealers to become authorised repairers in 2014 in order to offer servicing for the 200,000 used Saabs on UK roads.

Saab's new owners recently announced that it is restarting production of the 9-3 saloon in Sweden for the Chinese market.
