Volvo reveals electric concept

Volvo is to unveil its 3CC prototype to the public for the first time at the Michelin Challenge Bibendum in Shanghai, 12-14 October.

The new 3CC is powered by an electric engine that propels the 3CC to a governed top speed of over 85mph and delivers 0-62 mph in approximately 10 seconds – with no emissions.

The 3CC will include a unique two-plus-one seating configuration, providing seating for two adults in the front and a rear seat for an additional adult or two children.

The interior of the Volvo 3CC will include proximity sensors that are activated by a finger, as it gets to within 5mm, to adjust lights, climate, and audio system to replace standard dials and buttons.
