Audi will preview its A8 S quattro series at the Tokyo Motor Show with a new 10-cylinder FSI engine developed with Lamborghini.

The new model is scheduled to be available order in the UK in April 2006 for first deliveries in June.

It is Audi’s first ever 10-cylinder model. The car uses a 5.2-litre V10 FSI petrol engine developed using the Lamborghini Gallardo’s 5.0-litre unit as its technical basis, linked to a six-speed tiptronic automatic transmission.

The engine generates 448bhp and reaches 0-62mph in 5.1 seconds. The car has an electronically limited top speed of 155mph. It delivers 20.3mpg.
