The Nidd Vale Group is claiming the creation of Harrogate’s first ‘motor village’ with the launch of its Nidd Vale Seat franchise.

The Seat range is now on show at the showroom at Nidd Vale Corner on the main Leeds-Harrogate road.

Seat models now join Vauxhall, Saab and Mazda in a single showroom which has a frontage of more than 80 metres, capacity to display 130 cars and is passed by approximately 20,000 motorists every day.

“Seat is a brand we have followed closely during the past 18 months. The company has an impressive model range as well as exciting new car launches and developments planned for the future,” says Colin Hainstock, managing director of Nidd Vale.

“I am convinced our motor village strategy will help us boost annual sales beyond our target of 5,500 vehicles.”

This is the second franchise to be added since the company made a management buy-out in mid-2003.

Adam Chamberlain, northern brand manager for Seat, says: “We have been keen to have a centre in Harrogate for some time but wanted to be sure we chose the right partner.”

Nidd Vale’s SEAT franchise covers parts of Harrogate, Ripon, Skipton, Ilkley and Boston Spa.
