Franchised dealers will next week begin receiving their questionnaires for the 2005 Sewells Dealer Attitude Survey.

This survey, which is completely confidential, scrutinises the relationship between dealers and carmakers across every level of interface.

Last year, Sewells Information & Research, a sister company to AM, revealed that relationships were, on the whole, improving. Confidence in the viability of the franchise was rated particularly highly, while ratings for carmaker understanding and strategies for developing the franchise and their retail networks were also up.

Several new questions will be included with this year’s survey, covering topical issues such as the FSA insurance regulations and forced new car pre-registering. Dealers will need to return their completed questions no later than May 3, 2005.
