Queries from new dealer employees about how they can receive training has topped a list of the five most commonly asked questions to the helpdesk at dealer management systems provider Pinewood.

These findings, based on an analysis of questions collated during the last 12 months at Pinewood's call centre at Ringwood, near Bournemouth, show the “keenness of dealers to exploit new technology,” says managing director Neville Briggs.

He says: "Many of the questions in our findings are based around technology that is relatively new to dealers, such as keeping their website updated. It illustrates how dealers are keen on using the latest technology to benefit their business."

The top five most common questions are:

  • How do I get training?
  • How can I update my website?
  • Can I have a list of websites visited?
  • How do I include vehicle information in SMS messages?
  • How do I download DMS accounts into a spreadsheet?
