307 gets new nose job

Peugeot's 307 hatchback, estate, SW and CC models get the brand’s ‘shark’s nose’ grille from September.

But exterior restyling and a few interior tweaks are just part of a shake-up for a range that’s been dogged by warranty issues since its launch in 2001.

Crucially, multiplex wiring systems become standard with the new generation, indicating improved fleet reliability and potentially widening drivers’ choice of high-tech gadgets.

There will also be three Euro IV HDi diesel engines: 1.6-litre 90bhp, 1.6 110bhp and 2.0 136bhp – the 1.4 HDi having been dropped in favour of the 1.6 90. Prices will be from £11,200 for the 1.4E 3dr.
