The Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMIF) is going to roll out its partnership with Autodata to its franchised dealer members in the new year.

Under the deal, RMIF members have access to carmaker repair times and service schedules in order to provide accurate estimates for customers. From January, Autodata will be moving all of its products to the internet.

Kevin Clausner, sales director at Autodata, says: “Customers will be able to buy online subscriptions, The advantage is that the information will be updated daily.”

Clausner says he expects initial uptake for the online subscriptions to be moderate and that interest will increase as more people get broadband connection.
