It is based on the A-class Classic SE model and comes with a choice of three petrol engines: A150, A170, A200, and two diesel engines: A160 CDI and A180 CDI. It comes in both three-door and five-door versions with either the standard manual transmission or with the optional AUTOTRONIC transmission.
Standard equipment on the SE includes 16-inch alloy wheels and a choice between two new metallic paint colours, mistral blue and reef silver. It can also be specified in cosmos black.
The interior has cloth upholstery and aluminium interior trim. The SE package also includes cruise control with SPEEDTRONIC (variable speed limiter), exterior sight and light package, leather trimmed steering wheel, gear shift and handbrake lever and black velour floor mats.
