By sending an email to mg_npi_group@cat.com garages can now receive codes on the same day if the request is issued before 3pm, rather than having to wait for up to two days.
“We have managed to cut the time to supply the codes to just a few hours in many instances,” says Charles Binns, sales and marketing director at XPart.
As well as saving time, the new system is also more security-conscious as it does not allow transactions via fax.
Binns says: “Requests are much more traceable and transparent, meaning that codes cannot be sent to non-garage personnel, or used on vehicles and radios that have been stolen.”
XPart has been Europe’s official MG Rover parts supplier since 2001 and has around 250 XPart Autoservice centres across the continent.
