Volvo has appointed Stuart Kerr as the managing director of Volvo Car UK and regional president of UK, Ireland and Iceland with effect from October 1.

He will replace Hugh Reid who has decided to leave the company for undisclosed reasons.

"With the UK market being one of the largest in the world, success there is vital for Volvo and I am looking forward to taking the company through an exciting period of growth over the coming busy and important years," said Kerr.
