Roger Putnam, the former chairman of Ford of Britain and ex-president of the SMMT has been recognised in HM The Queen's birthday honours list this year.

Putnam, chairman of the Retail Motor Strategy Group and deputy president of the SMMT, was given a CBE for his contribution to the automotive industry.
