Inchcape Retail finance director Connor McCormack and Paul Jordan of Capital Bank are among the speakers confirmed for November’s AM Financial Challenges in Motor Retail conference.

McCormack is set to discuss the role of the modern day finance director, and how to balance the long-term view with the immediate expectations of stakeholders.

Jordan will bring dealers up to date on FSA regulation compliance, and detail the broader regulatory requirements that are being brought in at national and international level.

Employers’ rights and employee management will be the topic for Kate Russell, managing director of Russell Personnel.

The legal practitioner will offer case studies and practical guidance on reducing financial risk in employment matters.

Nigel Ruddock, of Grant Thornton, will give delegates an insight into ways of reinventing their business and taking a different view of their business for profit activities. And Gary Turner, product marketing director at Microsoft, will talk about how human interaction with emerging business technology can bring tangible benefits in the motor retail environment.

Striking a balance between business needs and people needs can make a difference, he believes.

AM Financial Challenges in Motor Retail is designed for dealer principals, accountants, financial controllers, finance directors and managing directors, and will provide delegates with strategies to tackle the issues they face daily.

The event is held on November 13 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. Bookings made before October 5 cost £199+VAT, qualifying for an early discount of £50 off the usual ticket cost.
