Subaru has redesigned its Tribeca SUV model for 2008.

The new muscular front and back end of the car have lost the bug-eyed looks of the model it replaces. The rear light clusters even have a tinge of Ford’s Kinetic design about them.

The Tribeca is available as a seven passenger model with standard 50/50 split fold-down third-row seats or as a five-seat model.

The new Tribeca will be powered by a 3.6-litre petrol linked to a five-speed automatic gearbox.

There’s no word on Subaru’s diesel Boxer engine coming with the range and prices and a UK on sale date are yet to be announced.

Reactions to the design of the previous Tribeca were not complimentary.
