SsangYong UK has appointed David Foster, a former Bank of Scotland executive, as its new dealer development manager.

Foster joins importer and distributor Koelliker UK as it attempts to revitalise the SsangYong brand in the UK.

Foster will report to Ian Nicholson, SsangYong UK finance and operations director. SsangYong has put out a target of between 60-70 active and profitable UK dealers this year.

Foster said: "Koelliker has made enormous strides in just a few months and SsangYong has a great chance to provide dealers with valuable income streams at a very low cost of entry to the franchise.

"I’m looking forward to helping to build the brand across the UK in the recruitment of new dealers."
