Porsche to open experience centre

Porsche GB is set to open its new multi-million pound customer experience centre at Silverstone by early September.

Construction is almost complete, which is said to resemble a Porsche dealership, alongside the famous Hanger straight at the circuit.

As well as providing present and future customers with an opportunity to view and specify new models, drivers in the Porsche racing challenge will be able to get a full MoT.

The centre is also equipped with a gym, cardio-vascular machines, hand to eye co-ordination tests, eye tests, posture evaluation and a fully-equipped laboratory.

On race days, there is a viewing gallery, restaurant and televisions showing all the action around the circuit.

Most important, however, is a full ride and handling circuit, plus an off-road route, for testing Porsche's Cayenne.

Currently Porsche uses a number of venues around the UK to show off its cars to customers but Silverstone will give it an exclusive centre. All customers will get to visit included in the purchase cost of their car.

Others can visit for a price - yet to be announced - while dealers can also buy time for customer days.
