Toyota has revealed the first road images of its new iQ city car which will go on sale in the UK in January priced at around £10,000.

Measuring at less than three metres long, the four-seater iQ will come with a selection of two petrols engines, the entry 1.0-litre and a 1.3-litre version. Toyota will be making a 1.4-litre diesel available for the iQ but it won’t be coming to the UK.

Toyota is positioning the car to compete with Smart’s Fortwo, but will be higher priced to reflect the extra space.

AM’s sister title CAR magazine has already test driven prototype’s of the iQ at Toyota’s European test facility in France. To read the full review click here.
