MG and Rover parts distributor XPart is offering its Autoservice centre network a chance to improve their knowledge of K-series engine repairs.

The Desford, Leicestershire company are putting on a one day course at the Nanjing Automobile Corporations MG UK training centre at Longbridge.

Technicians will learn about the diagnostics, repair and service of all aspects of the K-series petrol engine and cooling system, reports the Birmingham Post.

Xpart service marketing manager Don Lindsay said: "The course is particularly useful for those technicians who are new to the network and may not have a background in MG Rover repairs.

Lindsay added: "By completing the training, they will be able to diagnose faults associated with the K-series engine and cooling systems and carry out repairs. They will also learn the correct procedure for dismantling and reassembling the engine, together with best practice for servicing, engine rebuild and installation.”
