Ford's ECOnetic engines available in Transit and Fiesta later this year

Ford's frugal and low emission ECOnetic engine will be available in the new Ford Fiesta van later this year.

The Duratorq 1.6 litre TDCi unit produces 98g/km CO2 and has a combined fuel consumption of 76.4mpg.

Other features which are designed to improve economy are an aerodynamic spoiler, lowered suspension,  rolling resistance tyres, low friction oil and shift indicator light.

The ECOnetic engine will also be available in the Ford Transit later this year based on the 280 SWB Van with 2.2-litre  Duratorq TDCi engine.

Combined fuel economy should be 39.2mpg.
