The Rt Hon David Blunkett MP will be addressing guests at this year’s AM100 dinner taking place on June 4 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

One of the most high-profile Government figures of the past decade will be addressing dealers at the AM100 Dinner on June 4.

Guests at the AM100 Dinner, to be held at the Hilton Metropole Birmingham, will have the exclusive opportunity be submit questions for him to answer during his after-dinner presentation. In addition, he has agreed to submit comments related to the industry back to Parliament.

The Rt Hon David Blunkett MP joined Parliament in 1987 and over more than 20 years his outstanding political career has included several posts in the Cabinet, putting him at the heart of key policy decisions on areas including education and employment.Following the 1997 Labour election victory, he became Secretary of State for Education and Employment. With Labour returned in 2001, he became Home Secretary, with his brief including fighting terrorism, crime and anti-social behaviour along with managing immigration and asylum.

A term as Secretary of State for Work and Pensions followed and he is now undertaking constituency and parliamentary duties and producing a book of his diaries, The Blunkett Tapes.

He is also leading work for the Prime Minister on key aspects of Labour’s next manifesto, as well as developing a project on welfare reform.

The AM100 Dinner, held in association with Grant Thornton and co-sponsored by Mobil 1 and DSG Financial Services, is the showcase event where Britain’s biggest dealer groups are revealed.
