Saab is expected to reveal who is its preferred bidder this week.

Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg is one of the companies tipped to acquire the Saab business from General Motors (GM).

According to The Times, GM is set to reveal talks with Koenigsegg and Norwegian investors. GM have refused to comment on the names of the interested buyers but did say a deal with a primary candidate was likely to be signed in early summer.

Saab has been in talks with up to three unnamed bidders for the last few weeks with Deutsche Bank advising in the sales process.
