AM can announce the guest presenter and cabaret act for the 20th anniversary AM Awards in February.

The comedian will be Jimmy Carr, Channel 4's face of comedy and one of the most distinctive talents on television.

Jimmy fronts the topical panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats.

He hosted the prime time game show Distraction and The Friday Night Project, and co-hosted both series of Your Face Or Mine.

The presenter is Kate Silverton. She is an accomplished journalist and the rising star of the BBC News team.

Having presented BBC Breakfast and BBC News 24, she now fronts the One O'Clock News.

She has covered major assignments at home and abroad, won praise for her reporting from Iraq and has been named the BT Journalist of the Year.
