BCA has launched a new website, the cornerstone of which is a stock locator, catalogue and pricing service, redesigned to be even quicker and easier to use. It is the first of three online product launches planned for this year.

All the functionality is built into the web platform improving accessibility from a single password.

BCA aims to make the site the first place in buyers’ minds when it comes to sourcing quality used stock, with instant access to a range of remarketing channels though the single stock locator and catalogue function.

BCA’s remarketing director D’Vidis Jacobs said: “BCA is committed to a programme of enhancements in the online and physical remarketing arenas that will make BCA the first place in buyers’ minds when it comes to acquiring stock.

"In the months ahead we will launch a suite of new online remarketing services that will deliver more volume and choice to buyers and deliver a wider and deeper pool of buying power to our sellers.”

The new stock locator is designed to make it easy to find stock, set up searches, view catalogues and value vehicles.

The new design has a series of dropdown menus improving accessibility when drilling down to specific data, revising and amending searches and comparing vehicles.

Searches can be saved and email alerts are automatically sent out when vehicles are allocated to the site that meet the required specification.

The new site can be found at www.british-car-auctions.co.uk and is based on the pan-European e-commerce platform operated by BCA in Germany, France, Portugal, Spain and other European markets, but tailored specifically for UK needs.

Jacobs said: “This is the first of three distinct online product launches that BCA is planning for 2010, with a suite of new online sales channels and a new version of Live Online debuting later in the year.

"BCA will sell over 100,000 vehicles on line this year in the UK and this number is set to increase even further”
